The Walk

It’s a poem…  A poem that puts me at risk of sounding horribly melodramatic, but a poem that I wrote and kind of like nonetheless.  🙂

The Walk

When your world falls down around you
And you feel you’ve lost your way
You’re simply told just
Walk the walk
And talk the talk
Soon all will be okay

The darkness threatens to creep in
The storm to blow you away
But if you breathe and just
Walk the walk
And talk the talk
Soon all will be okay

You question life’s existence
You question who you are
How can you just
Walk the walk
And talk the talk
When all is not okay?

The world seems out of balance
Your heart feels on the edge
What is this walk
What is this talk
You hear of, anyway?

Then you hear the faint small whisper
Feel stirrings in your soul
Hope that if you just
Walk the walk
And talk the talk
Soon all will be okay

And yet there’s still the mystery
Of how to understand
You have to let your heart take lead
Just walk the walk
And talk the talk
So all will be okay

That’s very beautiful and so true. I think everyone can in some way relate to that. But when I read it, I automatically thought of Carla and what she and all of Johnathon’s family are going through right now.
